Description
Among the personal belongings of the baby the main place is occupied by kryzma. The child was wrapped in it when the baby was given a name at baptism – the first sign of being a human. Kryzhma was only a piece of white cloth, but was considered clothing. Sometimes the first baby shirt was sewn from it later.
